Today British Steel was pleased to welcome businesses, investors, employers and partners from across the county to its Conference Centre for North Lincolnshire Council's Breakfast Business Summit.
Hosted by Cllr Rob Waltham, Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, the event looked at how local businesses, the council and other organisations can work together to attract investment and make sure North Lincolnshire's priorities are represented within the Greater Lincolnshire Mayoral Combined Authority.
The summit brought together people from across the region to talk about the issues and opportunities facing local businesses, including skills, infrastructure, investment and innovation. Through presentations, discussions and networking, attendees shared their experiences of what's working well and where more support is needed.
A key topic was how local views can help shape future decisions on transport, skills, housing and economic development. Feedback from the event will help North Lincolnshire Council represent the area's interests and support future investment opportunities.
As one of the area's largest employers, British Steel was proud to host an event focused on supporting the future success of North Lincolnshire.
