Women into Manufacturing and Engineering

We're excited to take part in tomorrow’s Women into Manufacturing and Engineering (WiME) Careers Day at The Baths Hall in Scunthorpe.

This event plays an important role in inspiring women and girls to explore careers in manufacturing and engineering by giving them the chance to learn directly from employers across the region.

Our involvement will span the full day, beginning with the school careers fair where we will be engaging with students to discuss the variety of roles available within our business, including apprenticeships in mechanical, electrical, fabrication and welding disciplines, as well as opportunities across a range of support and operational functions. We will be sharing insights into what it is like to work within an industry with more than 150 years of heritage and explaining the training and career progression we offer.

We will also be staying for the public event, where our team will continue to provide information to anyone interested in learning more about our work and the pathways available for building a career with us. Whether you're exploring your next step after school or college, considering a career change or simply wanting to understand more about engineering and manufacturing, we will be there to answer any questions you might have.

Events like WiME help broaden participation and demonstrate the wide range of rewarding opportunities available across our sector. Encouraging more women to consider engineering roles strengthens our workforce and supports the future of the industry. We're proud to support this initiative and to contribute to creating a more diverse and inclusive environment for the next generation of talent.
