One of the new track shoe profiles, an MF10, developed by BS Track in collaboration with British Steel

BS Track has launched a groundbreaking product line – developed in collaboration with British Steel – to meet the growing global demand for highly durable mining equipment track shoes.

Leveraging decades of engineering expertise and advanced steel innovation, the MAXFORCE Series introduces newly engineered profiles designed for maximum strength, wear resistance, and outstanding operational efficiency and serviceability.

Bernhard Nestler, BS Track’s CEO, said: “This innovation sets a new standard in the mining and heavy equipment industry, offering unmatched performance especially in the most demanding environments and ground conditions.

“For mining excavators, we have developed two models for the 150-tonne class with 317 mm Pitch (MF 15) and the 200-tonne class with 350 mm Pitch (MF 20).

Thanks to our manufacturing technology, which involves producing track shoes from hot-rolled special profiles from British Steel, these models offer significant advantages in terms of strength, durability and flexibility for different lengths compared to conventional track shoes manufactured using casting or forging processes. With our new models for Mining Excavators, a service life extension of up to 50% is possible.

“For Mining Dozers in the 240 mm Pitch (MF 9), 260 mm Pitch (MF 10) and 317 mm Pitch (MF 11) classes, we have developed new models that offer up to 15% longer service life compared to conventional track shoes.

“Particularly worth highlighting is our new MF 375 model, suitable for Dozers with a 280 mm Pitch, which is new and unique worldwide in its design.”

Dave Ashton, British Steel’s Sales Manager for Special Profiles, said: “We’re proud to be working in partnership with BS Track and look forward to helping develop more groundbreaking solutions for the mining industry.”
