Structural sections in place at ABP's Helm at Immingham

British Steel has supplied 480 tonnes of structural sections to a huge local project which is being described as ‘one of the most significant developments of its kind in the region for decades.’

Associated British Port’s Helm at Immingham, located just half an hour from our Scunthorpe site, is currently undergoing a new development across a 227- acre site at the Stallinborough Interchange.

Through our valued customer Billington Structures, our steel will help to create 8 industrial and logistics units ranging from 4,820 square feet to 26,797 square feet, which will attract businesses in sectors such as energy, engineering, manufacturing and port logistics.

Located close to two of the Humber’s estuary ports, Immingham and Grimsby, the scheme will help to further create hundreds of new jobs and opportunities for people in the local area.

Construction of the units began in December 2025 and will continue throughout the beginning of 2026.

Phil Knowles, Commercial Director for Construction, said: “We are always proud to see our structural sections be used in UK projects, particularly one as local as this.

“Projects such as this demonstrate our importance to UK industry and infrastructure.”
