British Steel will be exhibiting for the first time at IAF on stand M320, where the company will be demonstrating how it is helping customers enhance their rail performance in high speed, heavy duty, mixed traffic, metro and tramway networks.
Created in June 2016, when Greybull Capital bought the Long Products Europe business of Tata Steel, British Steel will be demonstrating its range of premium products, designed to address some of the key issues in today’s rail industry:
Wear and foot fatigue
British Steel’s ‘stress-free’ heat-treated rail range has exceptional resistance to wear and boasts the lowest residual stress available for reduced rolling contact and foot fatigue, so increasing life in track.
Maintenance and repair times in urban systems
The company will be showcasing its advanced Multi-Life grooved rail range with increased wear-resistance. Weld-restorable in track, the ML range offers multiple rail lives.
Corrosion
For corrosive rail environments like coastal track, wet tunnels, level crossings and stray current environments, Zinoco®, British Steel’s award-winning durable rail corrosion protection system ensures maximum rail life.
